PURPOSE AND PROMISES
We've been told we come to each lifetime with promises. What does this mean?
Between lifetimes you look at what you have done to understand the vibrational acceptance of how much you have absorbed. It's all very clear. You don't have limitations of feelings. And you get to see if you perhaps didn't complete that one as much as you should have… And you know you also return to promises that you have already done because you have evolved, and you can look back and see that you did something in a certain existence that you thought at the end you did quite well. But since you’ve evolved, you now see you didn’t do quite well enough. And this is why you have picked up many aspects of the learning promise. Because this is the truth: you have to know every part of it… to be whole.
Can you give us some examples of some promises that these might be?
Often a promise might be that two beings should come together to create a certain availability for an entity to come through, and this entity could have a strong promise. You see what I mean--it could be very connected and not just singular. Or there can be a promise of coming through like the very evolved beings and rewriting some great text. Or it might be a promise of creating some piece of artwork that will help teach forever on our physical plane. Or it can be a promise of simply coming through and causing pain to another. You must understand that they all are promises. And just because it's frowned upon by society, it doesn't mean it isn't something you must learn.
How do we know when we're on the right path?
When it is like sailing with the wind, flowing with the river, feeling at peace, you know you are on your path. It doesn't mean, "Here it is, I am doing some huge thing and discovering some wonderful science." It doesn't mean anything like that, although that can be on a being's path. It means feeling at one with what you are doing.
When we are feeling sorrow and pain does it mean we're off our path?
No, because even when you are in great pain, if you truly do stop and pull your consciousness to the highest point you will know you are at peace within. Then you are on your path. If you are not at peace within then you are teetering. Even when there is pain and torture and worry, if you have peace within you are on your path. This may not be something you want to do that lies before you (like going to the dentist) but if you truly centre your being and be at peace within you know that it will evolve. That you will grow through it and you will be able to work and function and you will absorb the learning.
